Voices of the Future
A candid look at the next generation of construction
The Indiana Construction Roundtable invites you to an exciting and insightful afternoon event—Voices of the Future: A Candid Look at the Next Generation in Construction—designed to elevate and explore the perspectives of the construction industry’s emerging talent.
This unique panel-style program will feature a group of students and young professionals between the ages of 18 and 24 who are currently studying or working in architecture, engineering, project management, or the skilled trades. Through two moderated discussions, attendees will gain firsthand insight into how the next generation views the industry, what inspires them, and what challenges or barriers they face.
Session Highlights Include:
- What attracted them to construction and how they chose their career path
- Real-world experiences and exposure they’ve had so far
- What excites and motivates them about the future of the industry
- Honest reflections on what feels intimidating or uncertain
- Their vision for innovation, technology, and workplace culture
- What they’re looking for in future employers
With panelists from students pursuing architecture and engineering to up-and-coming tradeswomen as well as young professionals in the AEC industry, the conversations promise to be honest and eye-opening. The session will conclude with informal networking—offering attendees, students, and panelists the opportunity to connect directly.
We encourage students pursuing a career in construction to attend this event to learn and expand their network. Students attend for free.
