Value of Master Planning and Placemaking

How can we build homes, neighborhoods, and communities that bring people together? And how can that togetherness make residents healthier?  What if we build our communities around places? These are some of the questions that our expert panel will be discussing as we talk about the value of master planning and placemaking for local communities.  As we are seeing more and more communities actively engaged in the development process and directing the entire process instead of letting development just happen to their community.

Placemaking inspires people to collectively reimagine and reinvent public spaces as the heart of every community.  Strengthening the connection between people and places they share.  Effective master planning and placemaking capitalizes on a local communities’ assets, and potential, and results in the creation of quality public spaces that contribute to people’s health, happiness and wellbeing.
